Emaya Salon was established in 2007 by Monica Hanicar, a hairdresser with 13 years experience in the industry and a passion for education and keeping up with the latest trends. Monica started her business as a boutique home based salon (originally trading as Monified Hair Design) where her vision was to create a salon that offered a personalised, one on one experience for the clients.

In 2015, we moved to our Ferntree Gully location offering more space to accommodate our growing clientele. The level of service remains the same, in that every person who comes through our door gets a tailor made experience where your stylist will be with you from beginning to end of your appointment. We offer a tranquil relaxed vibe in our salon where you don’t feel like you’re being rushed in and out.

Our senior staff consist of Monica, Dana and Michelle who are all advanced colourists and stylists. Monica is an Alfa Parf ‘Colour Master’ Graduate, completing intense colour training in 2016 with an internationally renowned educator and has brought a wealth of knowledge back to the salon. There’s no colour correction we can’t handle!
We always strive to keep up with latest trends and have developed our own signature balayage and foiling techniques to ensure every client leaves with a personalised ‘couture’ hair colour.

Our Junior Staff are Natarsha and Paris and are already on their way to becoming superstar stylists. We have a very strict and structured approach to training our Junior stylists to ensure they produce the same quality of work as whats come to be expected at Emaya Salon. We only take on the most friendly and passionate individuals to fit in with our salon culture.
